The eBiz Club aims to provide its members and interested students with experiential
learning and collaborative opportunities for learning about web design, database design and
information systems as well as some supply chain and operations management. We believe that an understanding
of these fields will be critical to understanding the new world of business, and will open up diverse
prospects for future careers. By furthering our education through consulting opportunities, website design,
database design, industry speakers, and information exchange, we strive to become a value-added link
between success in education and success in the world of business. Whether you're focusing on a career or a past time, the eBiz club
can introduce you to the growing world of eBusiness.
First and foremost, the eBiz Club is about hands-on opportunity. We typically build one or two websites
a term for various external organizations. Member skill levels range from accomplished to beginner, and learning
our primary focus. We have professional speakers lecture and hands-on consulting that provide opportunities
for students to work on real projects at actual businesses, and provide an atmosphere
that supports academic excellence, professional ambition, and, of course, good old-fashioned
college fun.
We are part of the ISOM concentration within the LCB. Why ISOM? The competitive
advantage you need to succeed. That’s what you will obtain by getting involved in the
Lundquist College of Business Information Systems and Operations Management program.
This program has been designed with employers in mind, and has been tailored to provide
the specific skill- and knowledge-sets that today’s top companies demand from their
top recruits. In the ISOM program, you will have the chance to work with top companies on today’s global stage. The classroom
is only the beginning—there will be many opportunities to find yourself in real
business situations solving real business problems. You will have the experience
to differentiate yourself in a competitive job market. This chance will give you
the tools to make a great career for yourself, and to create value for whatever
company you decide to work for.
When you leave your undergraduate program, you want to get into a field that has
the most potential— a field that is important no matter what business you are in.
You want to be in a place where you can make a difference. The majority of capital
and resources invested in any company go into Information Systems and Operations
Management. So, will you choose to follow the money?
