sites running when an RSS feed goes down or is unable to be located. Today when
I looked at my site, the page with the RSS feed was no longer working. After looking
around for a reason I found that just changing it to a diffrent RSS feed fixed
the problem. Is this a common problem/ worry for sites that implement RSS
feeds?

Erik

Text Box Watermarks will aid customers in which information should be written in the different boxes

For the Bees page, instead of using all text in the accordion, have some kind of animation link included that would customers would be able to click on and a picture of the bee would pop up on their screen

This will create a very professional look to the gallery.

Third Idea: Use the Rating control on Ajax to allow people to rate your food items. This would allow others to see what dishes are the favorites.

~Group 105

Map an IP address

enter any IP address and see a google map of its location

http://www.seomoz.org/ip2loc

RSS Feeds

Hi All,

After the lecture about RSS feeds I noticed that you could also receive them on your Microsoft Outlook or Gmail. It's pretty cool. I have a few set up. Just wanted to pass the info along. To add feeds you have to go to the site that you want...for instance WWD.com and find the link that shows the avilable feeds. On outlook you click tools, account settings and then select the RSS feed tab. You then past the link into the box and you're done. Pretty cool!

Just wondering if anyone incorporated a drop down menu in their project and might be able to give me a quick tip or steps on how to do that. I am not sure if this is something I do in the form view or the table view. For example, for part 3, the repository of resources, I was hoping to do a drop down for type of resource (handout, website, workshop, person, etc.).

Thanks!

Infoworld reports that Facebook has cut off Google's Friend Connect service from accessing Facebook's APIs. Facebook claims that Google Friend Connect "redistributes user information from Facebook to other developers without users’ knowledge, which doesn’t respect the privacy standards our users have come to expect." Techcrunch has more details about what Google was doing and what Facebook objected to. Facebook is getting a fair amount of flack for this decision, and it's not hard to see why. Given that Facebook has just rolled out its own competing service for linking third-party websites to Facebook, we can't help but wonder if the privacy issues aren't just a cover to avoid having to interoperate with a major competitor.
