SPSS for student home and laptop use
In 2006, the LCB Department of Decision Sciences won a $130,000 educational technology
grant from the University of Oregon to provide each LCB student with a software
toolkit. The toolkit comprises important software used in LCB classes that you can
install on your personal notebook or desktop computer.
SPSS is now part of the software toolkit. SPSS costs $45 per student and the Department
of Decision Sciences is covering that cost for students. For the first
time, you don't have to come into the labs to use SPSS for DSC330 and other classes.
The software is available to students currently completing DSC330.
Microsoft software (except Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is also part of the software
toolkit. It is available through the
Microsoft Academic Alliance Program
(MSDNAA). You receive access to the Microsoft program when you commence DSC340.
The MSDNAA program is currently in its third year at the Lundquist College of Business.
